The Hosmer School Parent Teacher Organization is dedicated to bringing resources to classrooms, staff, and the Hosmer community. We work with the school faculty to provide a variety of programs designed to enhance the elementary school experience of our students. The success of this mission depends upon every member of our community.
All parents and guardians of Hosmer students, as well as Hosmer faculty, are considered members of the PTO and are invited to participate in monthly meetings. The PTO welcomes all parents, guardians, and teachers to join us in the planning of community events and programs that take place during the school year.The role of the PTO is to support Hosmer teachers and the school administration to enhance the primary school experience of our children. It’s activities focus on academic, social, and cultural enrichment.
The PTO functions at two levels. It acts as a liaison between parents and the school administration conveying the suggestions and opinions of parents to the school administration. Parents are encouraged to use the PTO as a support network and as an additional source of information. Its second function is to enrich the educational,social, and cultural experience of Hosmer’s children by supporting classroom activities directly, and by organizing supplementary programs in alignment with the curriculum.
PTO meetings are OPEN to all parents, guardians & teachers of Hosmer students. Please attend a meeting so you can stay informed on the happenings at the Hosmer. Yes, you are invited. Yes, you are a member of the PTO.
The Hosmer PTO is a 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
